Whoever worked on Joe Biden’s “Animal Crossing” island is a real professional.That was probably the most surprising takeaway from the surreal 2020 presidential campaign promotion, which debuted Friday afternoon on KindaFunnyGames, the popular gaming news program. The Democratic nominee’s campaign constructed “Biden HQ,” an island in Nintendo’s “Animal Crossing” featuring different aspects of Biden’s life, including his well-documented love of dogs and ice cream. (The Post reached out to the Biden campaign for the identity of their island architect. The story will be updated if we receive a response.)
“When [the campaign] approached me, ‘Hey, we’re doing this Animal Crossing thing, would you like to debut it,’ I thought, ‘Aw man I hope this island isn’t terrible,” said KindaFunny host and former IGN journalist Greg Miller. “This island is way better than my island.”
